GREEN TEAM

Green Team was established in July 2015, and members comprise students and teaching staff. The team aims to promote ‘green’ concept in the School. Members strive for arousing awareness and boosting the sense of responsibility among school members on protecting hospital and community ecology.

Terms of references:

To promote general awareness among students and staffs on environmental protection and campus ecology
To boost the sense of responsibility for environmental protection
To encourage proactive improvements to our environment

Low Carbon Diet Promotion Gathering

Low Carbon Diet

Students and School staff participated in a lunch gathering by bringing their own cutlery in February 2016. The aim of the activity was to increase the awareness of the participants in reducing global greenhouse gas emission and environmental protection. Participants understood more by reading the information from the display boards, Q&A, and the tasting of natural, unprocessed food with low carbon content.

Hospital Authority Convention 2016

Results and outcomes of the project “Let’s Go Green” are encouraging. Staff and students are more aware of the need to reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover energy and resources. A poster presentation has been done at the Hospital Authority Convention 2016.

Let’s Go Green

Each class has been introduced of the importance in maintaining an eco-friendly environment. Participants signed for the campaign ‘Let’s Go Green’ and declared their commitment in energy and material saving at the kick-off ceremony.

The project includes posting smart tips for energy saving, setting up mini-recycle station, arranging green workshops, promoting low carbon diet, implementing measures in saving utilities in skills laboratories, and promoting paper-free learning materials.
