Arrangement of Teaching/learning activities and Clinical Practicum during Rainstorms, Tropical Cyclone and Extreme Condition

Note -- Teaching and learning activities: lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and scheduled assessments.
- When Topical Cyclone No.1 or No.3/ Yellow or Red Rainstorm is hoisted: all teaching and learning activities will be held as scheduled.
- When Tropical Cyclone No. 8 or above/ Black Rainstorm Warning/ Extreme Condition is hoisted, arrangements of teaching and learning activities are outlined below:
- If teaching and learning activities haven’t started for the day
If the signal/ warning/ Extreme Condition is hoisted at/after 06:30 |
All AM session(s) of school activities scheduled in the time table will be cancelled. |
If the signal/ warning/ Extreme Condition is hoisted at/after 12:00 |
All PM session(s) of school activities scheduled in the time table will be cancelled. |
| The make-up session(s) will be scheduled as earliest as feasible. |
- If teaching and learning activities have started for the day, and Tropical Cyclone No. 8 or above/ Black Rainstorm Warning is anticipated:

All school activities will be cancelled. |

- . Clinical Practicum arrangement for nurse learners* in Hospital Authority
- When Tropical Cyclone No.1 or No.3/ Amber or Red Rainstorm warning signal is in force, all clinical practicums will continue to be held as scheduled, unless otherwise announced by the Tertiary institutions/ Department.
- When Tropical Cyclone No. 8 or above/ Black Rainstorm warning signal/ Extreme Condition is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory during the periods specified below, arrangements of clinical practicum are as follows

All clinical practicum should be suspended/ cancelled immediately. |
Clinical practicum conducted at HA premises:
All clinical practicum should be continued.
Clinical practicum conducted at non-HA premises:
Students staying indoors may continue the clinical practicum/ return to the centres for learning under safe conditions/ after the warning/ extreme conditions have been lowered.
For students staying outdoors, clinical mentors should take shelter with them in safe places.

No resumption of cancelled clinical practicum once the warning signal is lowered within the shift of clinical practicum.
If students have already arrived at the clinical venue before the black rainstorm warning signal is in force or before extreme conditions are announced, the clinical venue may, based on actual operational circumstances and safety considerations, arrange for the students to continue their clinical practicum.

- Post-graduate nursing training programme
